We're a large bird rescue located in North Webster, Indiana. We rescue birds from Indiana and adjacent states, including Michigan, Illinois and Ohio. We take in birds with behavior problems, medical problems and birds that can't be kept because of personal reasons. WE DO NOT BREED NOR SELL ANY BIRDS - DONT ASK! We just provide a permanent home for your loved pet. We pick up the birds, meet you in a public place, or you may drop it off. We do not charge for this service. We ask that the pet's cage or home is provided with him/her. They will receive Quality Vet Care; lots of Love and Attention; and Healthy Diet permanently.     • Recently our deployment team deployed to Baton Rouge, LA and articipated in relief efforts there at the beginning of Katrina Relief. We were able to stay there for two weeks due to lack of funds. We then returned to Warren Michigan to create databases and assist in reuniting people with their pets. We have a number of success stories, some we still await.
    • The need for our type of support in the Gulf Coast is overwhelming and still needed. We have been requested to deploy again and deployment funds are almost depleted.

  • A temporary animal shelter has been set up at the State Fairgrounds in Jackson, MS (Barn #8) at the intersection of I-55 and High Street for more information you can call 1-800-252-0923.
  • EARS continues to operate the pet-friendly shelter in Jackson, Mississippi in conjunction with the Mississippi Animal Rescue League. A team of EARS volunteers are caring for more than 100 animals – including dogs, cats, pigs and birds – belonging to evacuees and animals rescued from points south. On Sunday (9/11/2005), the volunteers shipped more than four tons of horse food and 100 bales of hay to Hattiesburg. EARS is also operating an animal shelter in Monroe, Louisiana, which is housing dogs, cats, birds and one ferret belonging to some of the 800 evacuees who are staying at a shelter nearby.
